These principles will be taught through the selection of choral repertoire. We will study the text of the music, and seek examples and applications of these 8 principles as we rehearse and perform.

  1. Truth (The expectation and standard of our organization)
  2. Unity and respect (Through study of text, communication and application)
  3. Commitment (Through learning personal discipline and love for music)
  4. How to be a Follower (Attitude of a choral singer to follow authority)
  5. How to be a Leader (Teaching by example; caring, dedication, perseverance, passion and respect)
  6. Application of Leadership (Assign specific jobs such as section leader)
  7. Service to others (Serving the homeless and hungry through feeding the body with food and the soul with song)
  8. Singing from the Heart (Teaching, then knowing that our purpose is to connect our hearts with the hearts of our listeners)
